I don’t need to conduct a thorough investigation to tell you what one of the hottest costumes of 2017 will be. I can tell you right now that you’re going to be seeing at least four Wonder Woman costumes at every Halloween party you attend. Given all of the talk surrounding the movie and how awesome it was, it’s a guarantee. And no one will probably be mad about seeing kickass Wonder Woman out on October 31.
Wonder Woman
It would be wrong to not feature Wonder Woman on the list, even though it's an obvious choice. Most people will be channeling Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, but you can take a different route and channel the retro Wonder Woman with a bit of ballerina. Just see this cute look for inspiration. SourceCatwoman
Catwoman is still one of the most badass superheroes around. And it's not just because she knows how to pull off a black patent leather catsuit like it's nobody's business. It's up to you if you want to carry a whip. However, I insist you try to recreate these cool cat eye sunglasses. SourceJoker
Why did it never occur to me to dress up as a female version of the Joker until now? I blame the fact that everyone was so into Harley Quinn's fishnets and pigtails that we forgot how much fun it would be to channel the very stylish Joker. SourcePoison Ivy
No one actually wants to go anywhere near the plant poison ivy, but dressing up as Poison Ivy from Batman is something different entirely. The girl was a kind botanist who turned into a vampy supervillain who can wear plants like no one else. However, you don't actually have to wear any living plants. Wearing green will do the trick. SourceThor
I would never say anything to insult Chris Hemsworth, but this female Thor costume is slaying. I also think that she might rival him in the hair department with her flawless blonde waves. Now that is saying something. SourceCaptain America
No offense to Chris Evans, but I think this Captain America costume just might be fiercer than his. Check out that amazing shield. Make sure you have one in your costume. You never know when it could come in handy. Pssst: It's great for holding all of your Halloween candy. SourcePowerpuff Girls
Do you and your two friends want to go for a themed costume, but you're struggling with ideas? Be the Powerpuff Girls. You can also make it a solo mission and dress up as your favorite character. It'll be a tough call choosing between Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles. SourceBlack Widow
We might not all be able to be Scarlett Johansson, but we can all dress up like her character, the Black Widow. If you've already got red hair, all you need is the black Spandex and all of those belt straps. If you're not blessed with ginger hair, grab a wig or some temporary hair dye when you're getting the materials for your costume. SourceWonder Woman/Diana Prince
If you still want to be Wonder Woman, but you want a more original take on the costume compared to the expected red, blue and gold look, the Diana Prince disguise is a great option. It also has a chic retro vibe that all vintage fans will like. SourceHarley Quinn
Just in case you didn't dress up like Harley Quinn last year, you can do it this year. Those two-toned blonde pigtails and that Daddy's Little Monster shirt will never go out of style. Fact. It's up to you if you want bae to be your Joker, or you could always hold out for Jared Leto... SourceBatgirl
Why should Batman and Robin get all of the attention? Batgirl is just as awesome and she can kick just as much butt. Therefore, channel her on October 31 with your own Batgirl costume. Nanananaaaaaa, Batgirl. SourceWolverine
If Hugh Jackman can be Wolverine, so can you. Except, you probably won't play Wolverine for a zillion years like Hugh did. One or two Halloween looks will probably be enough for you. At least you'll remember it well if you're rocking a cool costume like this. SourceStorm
Forget Wonder Woman, Storm might actually be one of the trendiest superheroes of the moment. She has that gray hair that everyone is obsessed with and she slays in that black jumpsuit. And if you add the cape, you can show off your killer moves. SourceSharkboy and Lavagirl
Let's hear it for Sharkboy and Lavagirl, y'all. If you don't have anyone who is willing to dress up like Sharkboy, I encourage you to still dress up like Lavagirl. That pink costume is amaze. And you can also use it as an excuse to dye your hair pink...or at least rock a pink wig. SourceViolet Incredible
Yeah, I'm going to say it: This Violet Incredible costume is pretty incredible. You can actually repurpose a lot of the things you already have in your wardrobe. A long-sleeved red tee and leggings can turn superhero-worthy with a few tweaks. SourceSpidergirl
This costume is so awesome. It makes you wonder why they haven't made a Spidergirl franchise yet. Someone better call the Spider-Man peeps and get that sorted out ASAP. In the meantime, you can work on DIYing this red mask. It's much chicer than Spider-Man's. SourceHave you ever dressed up as a superhero for Halloween? Let us know in the comments!
